Colli Orientali del Friuli DOC Pinot Grigio 2018

Livio Felluga

€17.21

Bright yellow with rosy and coppery reflections. Complex, powerful, enveloping bouquet. Rich and multi-faceted bouquet: the floral contribution of orange blossom, daisy and white wisteria evolves into notes of ripe fruit with apricot, percoca, white melon and yellow peach in evidence. Sweet sensations of custard and creme brûlé are well balanced by the freshness of citrus fruits. Voluminous, crunchy, compact taste. Full and progressive. The attack is complex and velvety, fresh and enveloping. Excellent aromatic correspondence to the palate, we find pineapple, melon, Nashi pear, yellow peach and sweet pastry notes that are enriched by a beautiful freshness and pleasant sapidity. The finish is fresh, taut and very persistent with an aftertaste of citrus and white fruit

Description

From the careful selection of our grapes are born wines with unmistakable aromas and scents: they are the wines of the "geographical map". Alongside the white varietal wines, which express their character with refinement, we find the elegance of the Terre Alte, a wise blend of Friulano, Pinot bianco and Sauvignon, and the illivio that comes from a careful selection of Pinot Bianco grapes. The gem that crowns the production of white wines is Picolit, a wine of great complexity, warm and mellow, which harmoniously combines sweet and acidulous sensations; a "meditation" wine, delicate and precious like its antique gold color. This famous vine comes from a gemstone mutation of Pinot Noir and, preferring cool climates, finds its ideal habitat in the hills. The Livio Felluga vinification gives the wine finesse and elegance, maintaining the soft coppery reflections that characterize the color unmistakably. It is certainly the best known Friulian wine in the world.
