The aroma is very fine and delicate, it is a wine that expresses fragrance and sweetness. The notes are beautiful intact, there is harmony between the fruity and balsamic component. In the mouth, the entry, the evolution and the final taste are of great linearity and elegance, the aftertaste is in harmony with the aroma and the finish is pleasant and long. This is how the Guado al Tasso 2006 presents itself at the time of its release on the market, a wine of great class, with a high aging potential in the bottle.
A territory, that of Guado al Tasso, characterized by the Bolgheri Amphitheater, a series of hills that enclose the plain overlooking the sea, capable of creating a unique microclimate, with large temperature ranges. The Guado al Tasso vineyards are located at the foot of the Amphitheater and, at night, the cold air comes down from the hills to cool the rows of vines. These particular climatic conditions give the grapes a strong aroma and guarantee a perfect ripening of the grapes. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and sometimes a small proportion of Petit Verdot, to represent the elegance, complexity and structure of the Bolgheri terroir. It is produced since 1990 from vineyards located on a soil of alluvial origin, from clay-sandy to clay-silt, with the presence of Bolgheri agglomeration (skeleton).
